Tribute to Stephen Gammell

Not sure what to title this one, but this is my attempt at the style of the awesome Stephen Gammell. His illustrations from the old Scary Stories series are just terrifyingly beautiful. I've been obsessed since I was a kid. If you don't already have the original books, do yourself a favor and get them.

Lovely as always. What mediums do you use in your work? I admire your technique :)

Hey thanks! It's a mix of traditional/digital media - most start off as graphite/charcoal sketches.

Could you possibly do short youtube tutorials to demonstrate to demonstrate some of your techniques.

Yeah, I'll be doing some videos eventually, just haven't really gotten around to it yet. But there is sort of a step-by-step tutorial for the scarecrow painting I did a while back 'Dead Wringer'.

This is yours? I just wanted to say I've seen this floating around the web for years under Stephen Gammell's name and I knew it wasn't from the Scary Stories books so I figured it was either fan art or from another book he'd illustrated. You have SERIOUSLY captured his style. That's a real skill. Kudos!
